m⁴ Scouting & Incubation

Technology transfer

The technology transfer organizations of the Munich universities and/or university clinics and the non-university research institutions in the life science sector have joined forces with BioM cluster management and drawn up an action plan as part of the joint m4 Scouting & Incubation project with the aim of strengthening innovation and start-up activities in the field of Personalized Medicine.

The concept is supported by the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Infrastructure, Transport and Technology (Bayerisches Staatsministerium für Wirtschaft, Infrastruktur, Verkehr und Technologie – StMWIVT). The planned activities will anchor the cluster’s strategic realignment even more firmly in the academic scene and ensure that research projects dedicated to m4‘s future-oriented topics are marketable and efficiently implemented. The aim of the targeted activities of m4 Scouting and the m4 Award is to identify research results with high innovative potential in the m4 target markets and to quickly and successfully translate them into attractive marketable solutions. This will be achieved by a targeted funding programme and professional project management through the m4 Incubation Programme and will receive support from the m4 Science Club, whose purpose is to bridge the gap between science and industry.
